Have you ever been scammed online?

You're not alone. It's a common problem, and it's important that you know what to look out for and how to protect yourself from these smart cons.

Be aware of the signs:

-If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. If a deal sounds too good to pass up, there's probably something fishy going on. Be wary of deals that seem too good to be true!

-Look out for websites with misspellings and grammatical errors. A lot of scam artists will take advantage of typos in their emails or on their websites to trick people into thinking they're real businesses/organizations, but they're not—they're just trying to get your money! Don't fall for it!

-Don't trust anyone who asks for your personal information right away; if they ask for your credit card number or bank account info before they've even sold you anything or given you any service, there's probably something wrong with them.
